digi q II help please

Hello All

Got my new digi qII today. Cant seem to get any reading with the food probe. Pit temp works fine. I dont have it on the egg yet, just plugged it in the house.Seems like it should read room temp. What I get are the 3 dashes on the screen. That indicates a bad sensor, but I am hoping I am doing something wrong. Help--Larry

    Larry...pls ensure you have both probes inserted fully. Then turn unit on. Might be your problem.

    I got the snap when I plugged them in.So, I know they are both in solidly. Ill call the Guru people Monday morning. My luck has been running this way all week.

    Swap the probes and see if you get a reading in the pit temp using the food probe and vice versa.

    Switched the probes and still get 3 dashes with the Food plug in the pit slot. The pit probe got a reading on the food input. I guess that narrows it down to the the food probe. Larry
