TONIGHT'S COOK: Birthday Dinner!

Since everyone else (and I mean everyone...) in the house likes to go to Outback for their birthday dinner, I decided to put that money to better use. So, yesterday, it was off to Costco and Sam's for the goodies. They're literally right next to each other here in the North Austin area.

The "raws" as JL would say:

All prepped with Dizzy Pig (lamb chops) and some Alamo Salt Works (steaks) :

These fine, fine USDA Prime steaks from Costco (hey WPB!)

The little lamb chops from Sam's:

I'm really liking the DP Redeye Express on the lamb.

Perfect meal for a great birthday, I'd say. Enjoyed the day with the family, and that really was the icing on the cake today.

    Sorry, but I haven't had much to post lately--much too hot (over 100°) since June, so I've just been doing some really quick cooks. Just looking forward to some cooler temps. like some 90s for a change ;)

    After seeing lots of names of folks I don't know on the forum I know that I've been away for too long...

    I also used the Redeye Express on the the thicker chops. SV was mainly for the little chops, since I knew that everyone was not going to be eating the spicy ones.
