That is beautiful Anna. If it tastes as good as it looks, wow.

You better take a sneak taste, something has to be stuck to the grid.

Looks great, congrats. I have 2 cooking right now!
  • You got a great looking butt there Anna. First thing I always cook when I get home.

Nice looking dog T-bone. I just lost a 14 year old yellow dog from Candlewoods Kennel a few months back. Every man should own a dog that good once in his lifetime. I will be breaking in his 4 year old daughter this year. She has been trained but hasn't hunted much. Just couldn't leave the big dog home to take her so I really cut back on hunting. Time to get back to the pond and she if she has some of the old man in her.

Is that an Ultra Amber? They are a BIG improvement over the original Ultras, IMHO.

Hope you have a good 4th ! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

  • Nice one, Anna. Sorry for all the difficulty you had with it yesterday, but it was worth it right????

Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 6 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Thanks Faith, it was totally worth it... Now if the dome therm. will just get here... Hee hee... :)

Nothing like doing everything wrong and it still turns out... Gotta love the egg!!!

Cook time appeared to be about the same as indirect... 200 grid and then bumped it up towards the end... The egg saved my "butt". Hee hee... :)
  • AnnaGAnnaG Posts: 1,104
Thanks Hoss!!! It was just a mistake that worked out just fine... No negative repercussions from doing it direct... Egg held fine at 200 grid... No dome therm, so was kinda flying blind... :)
  • AnnaGAnnaG Posts: 1,104
Yep, direct... 200 grid and it took about 10 hours... Sure was tasty! :)
