Saw this posted the other day and had to make it. Marinated 2 split breasts and 7 thighes overnight in italian dressing and about 4 Tbs of minced garlic. Added about 2 lemon's juice around noon the following day. Put in a 200 degree oven for two hours then sprinkled with DP's tsunami spin on half and swamp venom on the other half.
Here are the pics:
Out of the oven.
Seasoned.
On the egg.
After egging.

Newbie question, what temp is the egg at? -
Egg was at 300 with pecan smoke for about 25 mintues.

Big hit with the whole family, including the 4 year old!

Texture was different from regular grilled chicken, not bad, just different. Flavor was awesome!
This will be a great meal for entertaining. You can throw it in the oven and foregt about it. Light the egg. then when it's time to eat, brown on the egg. Simple and delicious. -
Now thats what I call some juicy looking chicken!! Very nice!

How long does the chicken stay on the grill ? Until it is browned ? What temp. ?
Would this be a good recipe to do to do first cook on EGG ?

Looks like you did a real great job there. Hope you enjoyed it. I like adding the lemon in the begining of the marinade and atleast 4 to 6 fresh cloves of diced garlic. Whats nice about this recipe you can play with it and add what ever you want. Good Eats. I guess I have to post this on on my web site also.
