After burning through a couple of the standard gaskets the boys at the Mothership provided me with a new, high temperature gasket- the white one, whatever it is. I installed it a couple of weeks ago and have been doing some low temps cooks since. Well yesterday I came across some hanger steaks at the local butcher and decided to crank things up.
After pre-heating the egg to 600 I have noticed that that familar flash pop comes a LOT sooner than before. With the old seals/gaskets I could vent or burp the egg a good 3-4 inches before the woosh/ flashback. Yesterday I may have burped it 1/2- 3/4 of an inch and woosh. Looks like I can turbo-cook now!

Glad to hear the new gaskets are working so well and you are doing well with the new one. Keep us posted on how it holds up.

Bordello -
