pulled pork - picnic shoulder?

Greetings eggers!
Yesterday was "finish the new fence" day, so I thought I do up something on the egg for the lads.
I know I didn't use the correct cut - but I was pretty darn close! :P
I did 2 picnic shoulders the "pulled pork" method.
The accused:
I stripped off the rind, and some of the fat (not much really).
Then I doused them in dijon mustard and a lil rub.
All rubbed up with some place to go:
Set em up on the BGE, indirect, drip pan
Oh, and of course - the sweet spot:
8 hours, and a few CRs later:
Wrapped in foil, rested a good 1/2 hour (time to make coleslaw and fries), then I pulled - and forgot to take pics.
I did get a pic after first helpings though:
Just a few leftovers - maybe a lunch today!
Cheers :cheer:

Haven't tried that cut of meat yet...sure looks good in your pics. The outside meat (bark) is our favorite. Enjoy ur lunch.

Well, it turned out delicious and only took about 8 hours to cook.
Drove the fence builder lads crazy though! They had to smell it all day! LOL :woohoo:
That "bark" as you call it was great - everyone made sure they got some in their sandwich!
Next time it'll be a real "butt" (as soon as I can get over my fear of overnight eggin!)
Cheers :cheer:
