Where to buy pecan wood chunks in Atlanta area?

I can't seem to find pecan and other wood chunks in the Atlanta area (northeast specifically.) Everyone (including stores that carry BGE products) only carry wood chips, which I have no use for at all and can't stand using. Any info on where I can buy wood chunks, specifically wood like pecan, maple, etc?

  • I had a couple maples fall at my place from the drought & snow storms. I am near Monroe. I already gave some to Fidel, Vidalia1 & others. You are welcome to some if you want to drop me a e-mail I will tell you how to find it. Of course, it is in log form & you would have to deal with that issue.

I'm in Buford - work in Duluth.

I can get you all the hickory, maple, red oak, white oak, and cherry you want.

I normally have pecan, but my last few large logs were infested with bugs so I tossed them. I'll be getting some more pecan sometime in the spring.
  • I use this site....jeff has some real good products.

Someone on the forum recommended these guys. I went to the website, turns out they are only about 3 hours from me and I was heading to that area the next week on business. Stocked up on enough to get me through to the next trip.

I mostly get mine from folks who have trees. Most are glad to share!
