Backpacking again...

WPB here... ain't weighed myself but been watching the wasitline for now, trying to eat a little better, and most importantly, I've been getting back into the backpacking again... slowly but surely. I've been out 3 times during the last week with my friend Andy... added 5 lbs to my pack (now at 30 lbs)... I use hiking poles to help work my upper body and offload some of the work for my legs (improving endurance since your legs don't "burn out" as fast)... we've been doing right around 2 hour hikes at Gold Branch in Roswell (near Morgan Falls dam)... mostly cross country now that it's winter... yesterday was all cross country and all steep terrain... it was the schiznick!

    Good for you! LONG duration excercise like backpacking has been proven to be great for weight loss. So the longer the hike, the better. The great thing about backpacking is that you can have a great time while you exercise. I can't think of a more enjoyable exercise program.
