no lump...what is up with that

Went by my BGE dealer in Johnson City twice to get a bag of lump. They were out and said the BGE is not shipping. Anyone know what is going on and can you suggest a good substitute?

Run down to Walmart and pick up Royal Oak 10# bags. It should be around $6 for that size. You could also check local groceries for lump.

AWG is the second largest grocery supplier in the country. They service TN. Their private label brand of lump is made by Royal Oak.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be off to Wal Mart tomorrow to get some Royal Oak. Also should have scrolled down a bit further since there was a lot of posts on Royal Oak.

If there is a Publix anywhere near you they now carry a lump...their "Greenwise" label. I think it is Royal Oak also...comes in 8.8# bags for $5.49 here in Florida. Good luck!

If you are near Nashville, the is a Gordon Food Supply south of there. Check the link. I've gotten 20 Lb bags of lump for about $10.00 a bag. Decent stuff, not royal oak, but worked well.

I'd call first. My Walmart doesn't carry it in the winter, was told it's a seasonal item. Found it at Menards, don't know if you have one there.
