Looking to pick up a dutch oven for the med egg
Can anyone tell me how big of a do that i can purchase?

I can say that a 6.5 qt oval Le Creuset fits, but just barely.
Any 5 or 6 qt round should fit. I don't think you can get a 7qt on there unless you find one with handles (or cut them off). -
some of the lodges have a 12" diameter.
i dont know if they would fit on the 15 grate or if handles extend beyond that measurement. and then there is the height issue....

Hey jonboy,this Lodge 5qt fits the medium just fine.It measures out to 13" from handle to handle.
Here it is on my medium(platesetter,legs-up then cooking grid)

Now thats what I'm thinking about.
A nice pot of chili out on the egg.
I made some grilled chicken tonight.
It might make it into a dutch oven if i can pick one up tomorrow.
