We'll do some duck cooks this weekend, but thought JL and fellow "meat providers" would enjoy seeing my 10 year old son's first ducks of his own shooting- both the Gadwall and Widgeon were dropped with one shell each (I only allow him one in the chamber of his 20 ga at this point). Proud papa was behind the camera.

Those are great times. Father & Son hunts are special. I'm going hunting with Papa tomorrow, and looking forward to it (busy cooking on the egg and watching football today). I am 41 and my Dad is 73 and I still treasure it!"Bacon tastes gooood, pork chops taste gooood." - Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction

Great photo -- thanks for sharing.

Great pictures. Someone once said something like, “take your kids hunting and you will never have to hunt your kids,” I know it worked for me with our two.

cool bonding shot.
But now i find it to be more productive to hunt the isles at the butcher shop(don't have to get up as early either)
i haven't hunted since my pop passed. -
I love it!! One of the things I miss in life not being able to have kids. Can imagian how proud you are!!! Looks like he's pretty proud also as he should! Shooting a lot better than I have of late! Good looking dog also. Looks like a Lab should. One of dads is AKC FT both sides and light bodied and small head. Duck fetching fool but just not "Labie"

Thanks, knew you would dig it!
As for your dad's dog....I've seen dead on "standard" labs that can't run a 40 yard blind! I'd much rather have your dad's "Duck Fetchin Fool"!! -
Great pic, and great story, Brad!
I'm not sure who is prouder...dog, son, or Dad. -
Excellent.
