Happy Thanksgiving - I was robbed!!

Just wanted to wish all a Happy Thanksgiving. Well I cleaned out my bird for a MadMax Turkey and I was robbed. I cleaned out the turkey and lo and behold no gizzards, liver or anything else in my bird. So I will have to make do with just the turkey drippings for my gravy. So if you were the fortunate one to have 2 bags of turkey parts in your turkey I hope you make an extra batch of gravy or even better a batch of gravy and soup. Once again Happy Thanksgiving.

  • bummer. .. . but here is what you do for the gravy stock. . go buy some chicken broth real quick and through that in your stock pot with the onion/celery/herbs. ... it will still give you great stock for the gravy . . .. better than just using broth from a can, or water. . ..

happy thanksgiving to you and your family
  • I bought a few extra necks.....just in case!

since you live in NY, that must be one of those cheap brooklyn turkeys....if so wait by the phone cause the store will call to see if you want to add the extras.......just like most of the camera shops.....LOL

what else would you expect from a Polks fan......

  • Check the front cavity carefully.

I thought the same thing but I found it in second cavity in the front of the turkey. Onetime my friend actually cooked his in a bag in the top of the turkey by accident.

So some where out there, there's a turkey with 3 necks and double giblets. That has got to be one goofy looking turkey.

Drunken Cranberries(bourbon), Choc.truffle cake(flourless), sweet potatoes praline, Smashed potatoes, Stuffing with sausage and wine, turkey and gravy. I've got the ingredients for a pumpkin rum pie, we'll see.
  • Tom, you are a genius! My turkey was mugged!!!You figured out what happened. Why didn't I figure that one out. I guess to much cider. Good Luck in this afternoon's game and your spider with pizza stone is treating the mugging victim perfectly for a MadMax turkey.
