Brine Butterball Turkey Breasts?

I have two Butterball turkey breasts for T-day. I noticed the packaging says they contain "up to 15% of a solution."

I had planned to brine them overnight Wednesday. Should I brine or not? What has been your eggsperience?

Thanks,

Not. That solution is a brine.

I would not brine them - butterball did it for you.
  • I totally agree - brining is for a fresh turkey.

Yea, the folks at the meat houses aren't brining/injecting to provide a better product or "enhance" anything but their bottom line. They pad the weight of the product by up to 15% and charge the consumer the per pound rate of the meat for a bunch of salt water.

I try to avoid it any time I can.

Thanks to Pete, Rod, and Faith for the responses. I also sent an email to the Butterball talk line and got a response that echoed yours.

I hope each of you and all Eggheads have a happy Thanksgiving.
