Thermometer won't adjust on new Egg

I have a new small BGE and I tried to calibrate the thermometer in a pan of boiling water but the adjustment nut won't budge a bit using a wrench. Is there something different with the new models?

hmmm, that's a new problem. May I suggest even before you start boiling the water go ahead and slip the wrench on the back nut and grip the dial tightly using say a gripper for opening tight jars. It should move.

I've not tried to adjust the BGE thermometer but I've done others that are similar in design. You aren't really trying to turn the nut. You just want to hold the nut with the wrench and twist the whole dial. Some are harder than others but should work.
