Good morning Eggheads and rear facing heads.

This time it was a plumbing emergency that brought me back to life from a very deep dreamstate situation in which I had just died and was about to be re-assimilated and re-assigned. I had the distinct impression that I was coming back to Planet Earth, but this time as a daucus carota. That would certainly be a brief assignment, and most likely ending with my being heated and consumed by some type of carbon unit and turned into a disgusting mess that would be recycled and disbursed into the planet's underbelly. Although protests are not permitted, I protested loudly. I so enjoyed my assignment as a humanoid, especially at the Chicken Ranch in outpost Texas, that I really wanted to return there for another chance at working with my girls. The Chief of Assignments apparently was taken by surprise by my outburst and scowled at me as he raised the assignment gavel to make it official. But then my plumbing alert went off, rousting me from dreamstate and in emergency auto-mode already in route to the facility maintenance department. As I stepped up to the porcelain furniture and reached for the pressure relief handle I could not help but smile. I was alive and I was back at the Chicken Ranch. It would be a good light period.

The familiar trail to the food preparation area was comforting and I continued my smile as I disjarred the front-facing bulkhead of the refrigeration unit in order to gain visual accumulation of the interior, most specifically, the interior illuminator. It was performing to expectations.

I then proceeded to the external viewing portal to confirm perimeter security. Deputy Larry Ropa was pacing forth and back in place and had a concerned look about him. It had to be something other than a security matter and I soon learned the stuff of his concern. Apparently, one of the girls had missed her punctuation mark and would be out of service until the issue was resolved. I told him it was probably just a matter of cleaning her ash pit because she always took precautions when working. It didn't seem to relieve his worry any, probably because it happened on his watch. I will take care of it tomorrow. Like I've said so many times before, there's never a dull moment at the Chicken Ranch.

I then moved into the communications center where I noticed a query from Oledog about the contents of the pot roast I pictorially boasted of during the early dark period. I prepared a response and infused it into the mass of reports from that time period.

Then I turned my attention to the other reports and noticed that Bubba Tim was the only one besides me reporting at this hour even though there were 4 Members and 98 Guests noted on the roll call sheet. Bubba Tim is capable of controlling things so I'm returning to the recharging station. At least my little piggy that cried all the way home isn't crying again.

Say goodnight Leroy
