This is the first time I ever cooked oxtail. The meat is really good, but hard to eat because it's so boney.

Looks good Oxtail Stew is one of my favorites

i love oxtail stew in the egg. ..really got to let it cook a good long time (like 5 hours) so that the meat just falls off those bones. ...itw worth it though for that great flavor!!

looks good, what, when, and how???
thanksSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Don't know about the tail but looks like it flvored it up great!

I dusted these with flour and browned them in the pan first. Then I put in beef broth and water and let it simmer for 2 hours. Carrots, onions and celery went in for 30 minutes and then potatoes for another 30. Called it done then. I can see now that the tails need to simmer for about another hour or so to get them to fall off those bones. I think I left too much meat on the bones but I knawed 'em like a bulldog as best I could. Still good stew... Worth doing again.
