Howdy yalls!
Just rolled back home last night after 10 days on the road. Missed all the eggtoberfest posts.

Still have to go through my pictures, but between the meet and greet, the eggtoberfest, the after party, a solo cruise through Chatahoochee in North Georgia, an aquarium tour with drbbq, camping, hangin at Jim Nufer's house, being on TV at the mothership and competing in the Jack I should have a couple good uns.

Was really great seeing everyone at the fest and meeting so many new folks. In fact, I hung out with three "strangers" until 5am at the after party. Here is me, FlaPoolman, Sparky and Bente at 4:30 am.

Yeah, we all feel real good about our finish. It's our 5th year there, and first ever in the top ten. The whole team was there and everyone is quite pleased.

Team BobbyQ, as you mentioned, should be mighty proud as well hitting the top 20 their first time at the world championships. Was hoping to hear their name called, but their overall finish made up for the lack of calls. In fact, they came out ahead of several of the top teams in the country....Lotta Bull, Smokin Triggers, Jacks Old South, Pellet Envy, ButtRub.com, Twin Oak. Nice work fellas!!

Missed you at the fest Tom.

Yeah, plates been full for some time, but it is nice to finally be home and settling in for thw winter. Next competition not until next April.

That Bente fellow is as animated as it gets. Wish I had that guy's energy. Funny on the drivers license comment!

Likewise Terry. Was really good to finally meet you for real. It was nice not getting stuck with piles of trash! Everyone pitched in all night long, and Spring Hen even brought out some new trash bags. It was beautiful man (wipes tear from eye). Catchya next year, or if you find yourself in the DC area.

Thanks Doug. I was definitely out of steam. Poolman, on the other hand, was ready and raring to go to Waffle House. I think he must be the hardcorest of 'em all.

BTW, I have the list of the dozen or so that were still standing at 1:30am. I'll post when I unpack.

Many, many folks that had to leave early in the morning still trooped it out. We had quite a crowd at midnight. Even those that went beddy-bye at 10pm still had a blast. It was an amazing after party.

Unreal coupla weeks you had there bro. So glad to hear about your high finish at the Jack.

Ya know....we were hoping to last 'till 2am and help with afterparty cleanup. I think I made it to about 1 (right Dennis?) but 5AM???? dang, that's something to be proud of too. :evil:

Bente was at IHOP early and looking fine.
