Resting on my Butts

Just got done cooking two butts, wrapped them in foil, then in towels and put them in a cooler. What is the max time that I can wait before pulling? I put on some ribs to cook (should take about 4.5 hours); can I wait that long to pull the butts if they stay wrapped and in the cooler? I hate to pull now, and then have to reheat in a few hours when it is time for dinner.
Thanks.

yes if you wrapped them in towels and foil and they are all in a cooler 4.5 hours will be fine they will proabably be really warm when you start pulling them...

Thanks for the advice!! Just finished dinner and both the butts and the ribs turned out great! Butts were still almost too hot to touch when I started to pull after 4 hours of resting.

22 total hours of cooking without ever adding more lump. (18 hours on the butts and 4 on the ribs...would have liked to have left the ribs on another hour or two, but after 22 hours, I was getting a bit hungry.)
