How big a pig do you need for a 75-90 person pig roast. Anybody know the conversion factor for poundage (like I know 40% weight loss for pork butt from starting weight)?

They suggest 65% shrink from the carcass weight to actual meat amounts. For a generous serving consider 1.5# carcass weight per person. Sounds like a bit much, but maybe not. -
There's a bunch of meat on a pig. 125 would feed them all and you would have meat left over for sams the next day.

Depends on whether you want t5he head on or off, but you should be fine with a hundred pound hog.

Your right about not going on an egg. I have another cooker from my uncle that will do the job however. Am going to use the egg for sides.
