Look at all my new toys! Brand new gasket, brand new fire box and a brand new cast iron grate. All put together this morning.



What a bummer. I have to wait 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before I can use my egg. I wanna put some of those char marks on something!

That was exactly what I did to mine on Wednesday. Fired it up yesterday just to burn the mold off the fire ring and check the dome seal.

Yet another reason to have multiple eggs I love the cast iron grate.I don't even use the regular one anymore.Keep the old one to make a raised grid Kinda like this,

Good idea. I already have this little 13 inch one.


I guess I could make another one out of it, and use it for direct cooks at the gasket level.

Not a bad idea DG.That would be perfect for chicken wings :woohoo: I use these little brackets on the XL to raise the grid for wings

Got both eggs ready to go. Oh, by the way, how do you spell "nuther"? You might NEED a small, or a mini just to get you through these Egg Joneses....bro :(
