My local Safeway had a sale on steaks and lobster tails today, and I am pretty sure they mislabeled some the lobster tails, cause they had 2 fresh 6oz lobstertails for $5. Not $5 each, $5 for the both of them! Well, needless to say it was lobster time for one of my roomates and I. I also picked up a filet minon for $3.50!! My roomate went for a massive 14OZ ribeye instead. The nicely laid out plate is my roomates, the sparse looking one is mine. He was busy makin his look nice while I was busy cookin'! OH yeah, that is him eating some lobster.
BTW, I used chery wood pellets when smoking the lobsters...... almost twice as good as the last ones came out, i'm definatly using cherry pellets from now on.

Joel Ferman,[p]How are you posting pics without the camera symbol showing up next to the post? Also, how are you getting multiple shots in one post?[p]QBabe

QBabe,[p]Besides filling in the "optional image URL" which will generate the camera symbol, images may also be shown by including HTML tags within the text of your message.[p]Here's my poor man's version of surf and turf:[p]surfturf.jpg[p]Click view and then source on your browser (MSIE) and look for the "img src="whatever" as an example.[p]K~G[p]

Joel Ferman,[p]You guys eat well, but you may not live long. Enjoy it while you can. I grew up going to McDonalds so I am probably a time bomb too.[p]Tim

QBabe,[p]Better yet, here's a picture of the HTML code that it took to display this picture. A self defining image if you will hehehe. You can stack as many as you like.[p]thispicture.jpg[p]chileside.gif[p]

    Joel Ferman,
Well Joel, i understand you will be cooking this up for everyone at Eggtoberfest. Don't worry there are only 101 people signed up so far with 28 days left. So you best hope that price for the lobster tails was correct.LOL
Nice pictures & a great looking plate, also it looks like you make as much mess in the kitchen as i do.[p]Earl

BBQfan1,[p]Was it the 3 oz. filet that caught your eye? hehehe
Yup, it weighed .19 lb. I was in the mood for a little beef.

  • Joel Ferman,
Geez... One of my favorite parts of college was following the .10 wing night from bar to bar....[p]Could not afford more than that, let alone an egg. I almost bought a George Foreman Grill, but decided to buy a keg instead...[p]Ah, the good 'ol days...
