The adjustable rig is great, isn't it? I put mine to use today for some chicken parts after I got a proper BGE pizza stone to use as a baffle. The cheapie stone I had before cracked into three pieces last time I used it on the spider.

That was first cook with it. It's nice to do a raised direct cook. That was actually the first time I have done chicken like that. I usually do beer can. It turned out very juicy and tender.

Nice looking bird there. I did the spatchcock chicken a couple weeks ago and it was terrific. About 50 minutes rasied direct like you have it there at 250 dome and it was the most tender and juicy yard bird I've had in a while.

I was going to give you call anyway some time today. Tonight should be good. I get off work at 5:00. I'll be home by 5:01. I'm lucky, I walk to work, and it's only about 200 ft. I even have a back up smoker here. It's not an egg, but it gets the job done pretty good.
