For those with a Digi2 controller, where are you attaching the pit probe, on the dome thermometer or on the grate? If on the grate, how are you adjusting the cooking temp for recipes that specifiy the temp at the dome?
Thanks,
Jim

You can clip it to the meat probe for grate level temps -RP

You can attach it to the dome thermometer if you wish. I attach mine to the grid. Generally speaking, for recipes that call out for a particular dome temp. you can figure the grid will be about 25 degrees lower.

I clip mine to the dome thermo probe--so far so good. All of the cooks I've done have been for the dome temp, NOT the grate temp. It's just easier to do it like that for me, in case the DigiQ is attached to the other cooker.

If I'm cooking based on dome temp. Then I clip the probe to the dome thermo. Otherwise I usually just clip it to the grid and allow for a 25 deg increase in dome temp.

Thanks for your responses. I will have to do some more playing with the unit this weekend and try these suggestions.
