Well, I just got a BGE for my arsernal of cookers.. Now what..

I find these things to be very interesting... I have not cooked anything on it yet... Just been putting in some lump charcoal. First time I did it, I got it set on 250 and left it for most of the day and came back and it really did not move from 250. Then I did it again yesterday... Same result. On monday, I plan to cook some ribs on it for the first time to see how well it does.

Well...I have heard that from a lot of people.... I am accustom to cooking on a offset smoker and Backwoods...

It sounds simple on the egg.... I plan on running the temp of to about 275 and put the slabs on till their done.. Simple enough..

Sounds like you already caught on to one facet of the magic - the ease of temp controls.

    Congrats on your purchase.

Welcome to the forum. That 250 dome temp should be perfect for those ribs.
Where you at in Fla? I'm just south of Ft Lauderdale.
