Best temp for Steak??????

fixing to grill my first steak on my egg....what would be the best temp to cook it at for a medium steak...steak and egg are waiting so I can do this right ...LOL

what cut of meat? how thick is it. you can cook it a many different temps and still end up with 'medium doneness' i bit more info will allow the wise ones [not me] to help you.

That will tell you everything you need to know about doing steaks on the Egg. Basically, it's a VERY hot sear, followed by a rest and then roasting to your desired doneness. It's become one of the "best practices" for steak on this forum. -

If you want medium, unless it is a very thick cut, I would go to 135* internal. Very thick maybe 138-140.
