I'm kinda like your wife (xyl), I never got on much either. My Hubby or I haven't been on much since cell phones came along. We are thinking about getting our radios back out now that our kids are about grown though. :)

    Hey,

N9MZM here, but I haven't been on for a few years either. Thinking about putting my mobiles back in the truck though.

    Take care, B)

    Ready? !

Are you still active, if so what bands. Are there any bbq groups on air?

I am a little surprised the with the number of hams who have responded here.

Wonder how many of the eggers are radio active and what bands they work & what modes? I am not even sure if I could communicate on CW any more.

I haven't been on air for a long time.

When I was on it was high band and low band some slow scan TV, packet and CW. I have WAS and was active on OMISS (#808), Was active on 10 thru 80m

Guess I need to get the equipment dusted off.

  • Recently purchased a new FT-1000 MK V and QRO 2500 after a long time off the air. The sunspot cycle is currently at the bottom and headed back up. 160 has become a popular band since Loran is gone. There are still a lot of active hams despite the many other hobbies.
