I thought I would share a little info to fellow eggers.

I recently purchased 1/2 beef from a meat locker at $2.04/lb. I split the 1/2 with a brother so the following info is for a 1/4 beef. I received a total of 107 lbs of precessed meat consisting of 47 lbs steak, 24 lbs roasts, and 37 lbs of ground chuck. Hanging weight was 184 lbs @ $2.04/lb and the processed weight came out to $3.72/lb. I bought a 7 cubic foot chest freezer at Sam's Club for $187 where the 1/4 easily fit and could put an entire 1/2 beef in it (next time).

Anyhow, I thought I would pass this along in case anyone has thought about doing something similar. Happy Eggin!
