When the tops sorta lay over thay are ripe. A machine Goes down the row and the onions are plucked ( picked ) then washed then . sent to the soarting house , sized, cleaned , and packed for shipping. Compliments of food tv network . Get em eat em enjoy. Miles

Grilled onions with wild salmon tonight. Olive oil, salt and pepper, thick cut, 15 minutes and they were done. Sweet.
