Picked this up the other day for 5$ with mail in rebate. It Seems to work pretty good. Will withhold complete endorsement until I've had some frozen meat. The bags are a little pricey.

I have one of these that I use all the time for temporary re-sealing.
Just operates off batteries.

We have one, and really like it. The instructions say not to re-use the bags: the only time re-use is an issue is if you get fluids in the valve. Because we don't use much bacon, I freeze it in a Handi Vac bag, take out what I want and then seal and vaccuum out the bag. Works like a charm.
