Maverick ET-7 probe?

It's hard for me to see the temp from my back window... boo hoo.. :(

Looking at the maverick et-7 probes - it looks nice to be able to monitor egg & meat temp at the same time. Does the probe on this one go up to 572' (or something like this)? These would be sooooo much better if you could calibrate the temp.

Both the et-7 probes are meat probes. I would think that meat at 571 degrees would not be very tasty.

Just because the probe can handle 571 degrees doesn't mean the transceiver or the remote can. The Pit Temp on the ET-73 still won't exceed 410 degrees

A better question is why you would need to keep track of a temp that high by remote. These devices are best suited for Lo 'n' Slo cooking. If your egg get to 571 degrees during a lo 'n' So you have bigger problem then firing a probe.

If your looking to measure the temp of steaks and such get a Thermopen.
