I closed up the egg last time at around 600, I went to open it the next day and the gasket is melted shut the egg. How to I get it to open without cracking the dome?

Todd,[p] You could drop a lit firestarter down through the dome or using a torch up through the bottom vent to restart the lump. Once it gets hot enough you can open the dome.[p] Alternately you can carefully work a putty knife around the felt. Either way your gasket is toast and will need to be replaced.[p]

Which gasket would you recommend? A Rutland or something else? I used the new gasket (white color) and the self adhesive did not do the job. I ended up using Gorilla glue. Any suggestions?
