Jerk Chicken - What kind of smoke, mon?

OK, I've had my boneless thighs in the wet jerk "rubinade" (or is that marirub) for 2 hours. I don't have any pimento wood to smoke it as authentic jerk. What do you think is the best option for as close to authentic - hickory, mesquite, or just lump alone?
