In-a-bind Pizza Sauce

I did some pizza the other day, but didn't have the time to make up a new batch of Spin's sauce. I had some Hunts "Ready-Original Italian Style Tomato Sauce", which already has several spices in it. I added garlic powder, onion powder, tad of salt, a little water, and simmered 15 or 20 minutes. Turned out to be a very nice sauce.[p]The canned tomato sauce is readily available in grocery stores. A little snazzing up, and it makes a nice sauce, especially when you don't have time to go from scratch.[p]Happy Bubbly Cheese

Nature Boy, Thanks for the idea. Last week I made and froze about 3 pints of Spin's sauce - we've done it with other red sauces and it seems to work great - it may be another alternative - I'll let you know after the next pizza!

We ate some spaghetti sauce tonight that was frozen since last month. I swear it was better after being frozen. [p]My bet is on your frozen sauce being at least as good as it was fresh.[p]NB

Nature Boy,[p]I've never used the Hunt's sauce, but I often use Don Pepino's. It comes in a yellow can, available at Giant, Safeway, etc. Very good sauce.
