T-Rex'd bone in ribeye
This 24 oz bone in ribeye begged me to liberate it from the Publix meat case.
S&P, some olive oil and into the fire:
My half plated with twice baked potato and a small salad.
"Your half" !!!!
I am sooooooooo glad Mrs Wolf doesn't eat Beef..
Now that is a Steak! Looks great. How long did it take after the initial sear?
trying to decide what looks better the steak or potato
Man you make it hard to start the week off healthy, I know what I want for dinner.
Man, I love ribeyes. Especially when they're done right, like this one.
It took about 5 minutes a side @ 400, then another 4 minutes of dwell at 300-350 after the Thermopen reading came up a little short.
I gave the meat as much time as I had to warm up on the counter, straight from the store, but it was still fairly cool. Another half hour on the counter(or a warm bath in a ziploc) would have negated the last bit of dwell time.
East Cobb Eggy
