Jerky

Hi All! There was a guy on here a few years ago by the handle of Kevi. He has a wonderful jerky recipe. I wanted to send it to a friend but could no longer find him. Does anyone know where he went or what his new web site is? He made wonderful jerky with a webber bullet. Thanks

I have that recipe at home, as a matter of fact I'm making some up later this week. I'll try to remember to post the recipe when I get home from work. I'm on midnights so my normal bad memory sometimes gets worse on midnights. You are right, it is a very good recipe, this will be my first time to make it on the egg.
  • Here's Kevi ( Stogies ) recipe
5# of jerky meat ( Top round, Bottom round )
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup Kosher salt
    1/3 cup tenderquick
    1/2 cup honey
    1/4 cup country bob's
    1Tbs garlic powder
    2 Tbs beef rub
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    4 - 5 cups water
Dry meat in refrigerator for 2 nights
Mix everything together and add the meat
Marinate for 24 hrs preferably 48 hrs.
    Cook for around 8 hrs at 160 - 175
    Totate trays every 2 - 3 hrs.

    Good luck
