I have a recipe for Goetta that didn't turn out on the first try; it was to runny almost like soup. It should have been thick, so that when it cools it is solid. The recipe called for "Steel Cut" Oats but I couldn't find any so I used Quaker Oats. Does anyone know the difference and would this have caused my problem? I want to try another batch with "Steel Cut" Oats and am wondering if I need to make other adjustments as well.
