I'm going to put 3 slabs of ribs on the BGE. I usually do them on my Bradley Smoker but would like to try the BGE. Can someone be so nice to point me to the thread on the method that deals with foil and the associated hours. What temp should I use, too. Thanks[p]John

I'm sure Car Wash Mike will chime in as he is the rib expert. I follow his method. Here's a link.

okeejohn,
You may have found it by now, but I think you are referring to the rib recipe in the 'Tricks of the Trade' section of the website. It's called champioship ribs or something like that. There are tons of good rib and rub recipes, but the cooking process in that recipe is fantastic! Just cooked up 3 slabs of baby backs using it last night and they were wonderful!

Eggtucky,
Haven't found it yet. Been looking. Where is this "Tricks of the Trade"?[p]John

I know this is not the 3/1/1 method with foil but I hope it can help.

I did these BB's for the big game last night. I used the 3-1-1 method, actualy took 5 1/2 hrs @250. I did bump it up a little at the end for saucing. They came out very good, not perfect like the Pat's but very good like the Colt's. I threw on some crab stuffed mushrooms for the last hour or so.

John,
Are you doing baby back or spares? I did these spares for about 5 hrs indirect @ 250 deg.
I think that the method you were looking for, though was the 3-1-1 from Car Wash Mike.
