Smoking in the Rain

I just got my egg and have not used it yet. I built a table for it and now I am ready to cook. I have a carport and did not know if I should use the smoker under that if it is raining?

The egg performs great in the rain. More experienced eggers gave me the idea of using a cheap dryer vent on top. It works great.

If i were to cook under my carport will the smoke hurt my deck above?

Depending on clearance and temps I think you would be OK a lot of us have our eggs under cover and there aren't many complaints about it.

Thanks, i have a 7' ceiling and it is open on the front and 1 side. There seems to be good air flow today.
