Pumpkin questions
Options
I have a couple of small pumpkins, un carved, left over from Halloween decorations. In past years, I cut them up, boil them and turn them into pumpkin soup- a favorite around here.
But- now that I have a BGE, there has just got to be a better way to do this. I'm thinking to half and clean them, egg till soft with a little apple for smoke, then do the soup? Any ideas or suggestions?

made some soup tonight with squash and sugar pumpkins. roasting with a little grapevine in the egg before hand gave them (and the soup) a great rustic flavor. tinge of smoke.[p]don't bother peeling. just quarter, clean and roast. the skin slips off after an hour at 500 degrees, indirect (platesetter).[p]nice twist on our usual pumpkin soup.[p]make sure you add some coconut milk and lemongrass![p]

stike, did you cook the soup in the egg, or on the range? How much smoke does the pumpkin pick up on its own?
