Does using a platesetter on a large altogether alleviate the need for firebricks, or do the bricks help keep temps. more even??? How much is a platesetter?

I haven`t used my firebricks since I got ny platesetter and I believe I paid approx. $35 for does the same thing the firebricks used to do, just a whole lot more conveniently, well worth the money as it has MANY uses.[p]Wess

I agree with Wess. Accomplishes the same thing, just much easier to set up. Price sounds right.
