mopping up

Used a rib mop for the first time, usually go the mustard/dry rub route. Tried Johnny D's Hawg Wash that I got at BBQ's Galore. Really great stuff, mixed a little in my own bbq sauce that went to the table. Does anyone have a rib mop recipe to share? Or one for tri-tip? Like to try making my own too.

  • Fatboy,[p]You could use my Traditional NC Sauce as a mop. That is what some pit men do. I never use it that way because with the egg meat just don't dry out, which is the onliest reason you mop, a byproduct of moping is a touch of flavor.[p]Elder Ward
