Just took delivery of med. Egg today and will fire it up with a 2 nice 10 inch pork loins and a cold Amber Bock tomorrow. So that I do not ask a bunch of old questions is there any search function on this forum or do you just have to scan down the endless lines of script till you find something? lol Look forward to becoming part of this on line comunity. Any personal sugestions on the loin?

JLOCKHART29,[p] Well I wouldn't cook that cold amber bock. It's much better consumed cold.[p] I usually just coat them in one of several Dizzy Pig Rubs, or Emeril's Essence. Put them in the Egg at 350 till 140 or so. Let it sit some (it will rise to 145). Slice and serve.[p] Welcome to the cult er.. club.[p]

JLOCKHART29,
have a 16 pound shoulder on now, coming off for tomorrow's dinner, 50 abt's and 2 planks of asigago cheese and shrimp (practice for eggtoberfest) we are having a few friends over and putting on quite the spread, would love to think of a few other appetizers to do up as well.

TheStormyDog,
Stuff some mushrooms with seafood and cheese. It's quick, easy and doesn't use up too much realestate( grill-estate?). [p]And BTW, WELCOME JLOCKHART29 !!

JLOCKHART29,
The search is at the bottom of this page. Search the archives for whatever it is you are looking for. Just type in the keyword and you'll get some hits.[p]Coincidentally, I just cooked a nice pork loin today. 350F direct heat. Took about 90 mins to get to temp. No spices added. It was a peameal coated loin (Canadian Back Bacon).
Added some apple wood for smoke. Perfect![p]Welcome aboard.[p]John

JLOCKHART29,[p]You can go to Dizzy Pig's or The Naked Whiz's or Wess B's or Playing With Fire and Smoke web sites. They will give you more info than you need. You will find alot of recipes along with pictures. Welcome to the egghead community.[p]dblR

dblR is correct! Go to nakedwhiz.com or WessB's or Dizzy Pigs sites, start reading, learning and answering questions that you didn't even know you had! These are all wonderful sites that will get you up and running in no time. A little bit of homework will go along ways towards enjoying your new investment! Have fun![p]Ed McLean.....eddiemac

Celtic Wolf,[p]And I'll add to that to make your own Essence, go to the Food Network's site and get the recipe, its WAY better than the bottle of premade stuff in the stores and definitely cheaper to make a big batch of it to have on hand always.
