    Geezer,
I asked the same question recently Here is egret's recipe and one that I received via email. (I received 3 others but too lengthy to post here)[p]Sour Cream Halibut [p]1 cup white wine or sauterne 1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup sour cream
1 pound halibut fillets 1/4 cup chopped onion
Fine bread crumbs Paprika[p]Mix wine and salt and marinate halibut for at least 1 hour.
Drain fish on paper towel, dip both sides in bread crumbs, place in greased baking dish.
Mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, and onions, spread over fish and sprinkle top with remaining bread crumbs, and paprika.
Bake at 500 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork. [p]But, here's one that got email to me.
Here are a few that might get you started. I have a friend in Alaska and
when he brings halibut back here to Florida, one way I like is to make a
slurry of sour cream, little mayo, parmesian cheese and lay the fish on a
cedar plank soaked couple of hours, fish, yhin lemon slices, slurry little
dill on top. Cook on BGE 350F, direct about 8-10 minutes per inch of
    thickness. Don't overcook. [p]
