Ottawa_egger,[p]The thermometer on my small is oriented the same as the large. Do you think it was incorrectly placed or perhaps a second hole was drilled? I did beans yesterday on my small and the thermometer was in the way of the pot, until I put a spacer in so that the stem did not go in as far.[p]It was great meeting you and your girls at the 'Smokin to the Bones' competition last week. You must be so proud of your daughters for being right in there helping out and not complaining about the cold and the rain. Great picture in the Citizen..[p]Paul

there was a very brief time that somebody at the BGE plant had a wild hair that the thermometers should point down, not at a slant. I know some eggers let it alone, but others drilled a new hole so the thermometer pointed toward the center like the others. I assume "he" got fired and is now mowing lawns in the US...
