Need some help; Son's and grandkids coming over for a BBQ. I have smoked a similar size Prime Rib, but never a Ribeye Roast its 7#. Could I follow the same method for a Prime Rib or does a Ribeye Roast need anything different. Need some advice, thanks for the time.

Dan,[p] Cook them the same way.. Better yet slice it up into 1.5 inch steaks and TRex them..

Dan,[p]I always use a sea salt/pepper/rosemary crust and sear at high temp on all sides (rest it) then 250 (225 grid) temp to your liking. Remember to take it off 10 degrees lower and it will increase to temp when resting.

Celtic Wolf,
I would go that way with the TRex steaks, but too many mouths to feed. Thanks for all the help..Dan
