When looking for a Tri-tip in the store will it be labeled as a Tri-tip?

    Jupiter Jim,
It goes by several names, the most common being tri-tip.[p]Check out this link to see what they are.

  • Jupiter Jim,[p]Just ne aware that you are looking for a whole tri-tip. As here in NJ both Sam's and Costco slice the tri-tip into small steaks, almost like minute steaks. I always have to ask someone to bring me out a whole tri-tip which many times comes as a 6 pack in a cryovac.[p]Howard

  • Morro Bay Rich,
Just read it and will look for one tonight at Publix.

Jupiter Jim,[p]Dunno if this will help but the cut has a classification of NAMP 185D.[p]Retrieved from ""[p]Ohh- how helpful-I was going to credit Wiki and it did it automatically...

Howard,[p]Ask for a Tri Tip roast rather than just a Tri Tip. That should do the trick.

Jupiter Jim,[p]Just bought a tri tip @ Publix in Nashville tonight. Paid too much v. Costco, but it looks really good.[p]Labelled "Sirloin Tri-Tip".[p]Big T
