Pineapple rings ????

I'm in the beginning of Mom's day cook. Got some nice loin chops ready and the Jalapeno Corn Casserole is about ready to go in the oven with the taters. I remembered a mention here about pineapple rings. I don't recall what (powdered sugar?) was put on the rings.
Anyone here that could freshen my memory????? Thanks.
