Cooked up Thirdeye's pork steaks today and they turned out very good. Cooked on a raised grid direct around 225 for 5 hrs. and flipped them every 1/2 hr. Used 3 chunks of Pecan. Will be doing these again. Thanks Thirdeye for the help and patience for all us newbies.

It sounds like you had a wonderful cook. I sure wish you had posted pic's. Maybe next time. Glad you enjoyed it. AZ

  • AZ Traveler ,
I'm not sure how to post pictures and I have dial up, so it would take a month of Sundays to post a picture.

  • Mayberry Smoker,
I'm glad you enjoyed them. You have gotten me interested in cooking them. So much to cook so little time. Have a nice evening. AZ

Mayberry Smoker,[p]You are welcome for the pointers. Sounds to me like you figured out what I meant by a small fire and a long cooking time. 67d07b7e.gif[p]~thirdeye~

Mayberry Smoker,[p]FYI, Now that you are getting into pork steaks....I just added Juggy's marinade to my pork steak page. I have tried it many times and like it. The ingredients were new and different for me.[p]~thirdeye~
