My son, Eric Brewer wins Grand Champion Kid's Q in Paola Ks.
1st in chicken...Ragin' River rub.
2nd in Burgers...Cow Lick rub.
Super proud of him.
By the way, the old man did OK too.
3rd overall.. missed grand by 1 point.
Shakin' the tree Rub on the Chicken.
Cowlick on the brisket.
Dizzy Dust on the pork.
Shakin the tree is the best rub yet.

    Your post makes me wonder....how many folks on the circuit use DP? I'd guess that not everyone is blending their own spices. Same for sauces, gotta be some off the shelf stuff being used. Judges have to notice similar flavors. Leaves it to the cook for technique to win the day.
