Stupid question

How do you remove the spring from the hinge assembly? I have a medium that is not aligning properly regardless of all my loosening and tightening of the bands. The problem is a 1/4" (or more) gap front to back.

I assume this is a very stupid question since I have posted it the last 3 days and no one has offered any assistance.

Sorry to see no one has responded to your request for help. I'm afraid I can't offer any help to you as I'm in the same situation with my dome on my large egg, I did speak with a guy at the factory store regarding a new gasket for mine and I mentioned that I had a dome alignment problem and he sugested that I take a few measurements to determine if my dome may not be perfectly round. He told me the spec calls for no more than 1/8 in misalignment from the front to rear. And I imagine that the dome cane be know more than 1/8 in out of round to meet the above spec.

Questions such as yours are tough to answer and on most forums they get ignored because people don't have a solution, however I think as a mater of being polite any question deserves at least some response.

I would suggest calling the BGE retail store to see if they could be of any help, If you do find a solution please post it in the forums so others in the same situation may benefit.
